• 11/05/2012 The Sheffield Half Marathon is on 27th May. For those not running please join us on the drinks station. We need a good turnout for this as it is an open competition this year. • 11/05/2012 There will be a summer pub run on Thursday 14th June to give Jenny and Pete a send off. Starting at the Leisure Centre, calling at the Steel Melters, West End and Crown where there will be a free buffet for all. Fancy dress Oz style optional.

I've been doing some digging on Amy's House.
What a fantastic organisation.
I can see why it's so popular with Jane and Clinton.
The work they do for children with special needs is incredible and mostly charity funded.
I hope you will all dig deep to help these two raise some cash for such a worthwhile cause.
So if you see this house running past in the Sheffield Half (probably with one moaning bloke and a long suffering lass put some cash in the bucket. Jane will have definitely earned it!!

• Clint and I are doing Sheffield half marathon dressed up in a house, so I have to put up with running in a confined space with him for some time!!! Arghh!!  We are doing it for the Sheffield charity Amy's House where Aaron goes on a Saturday. It was the first place that he went where we had guilt free time off and were able to do 'normal' things like going shopping without having to buy a DVD!! I would be grateful for any donations to this charity which has helped us so much.

• I hope you get plenty of support Jane. I personally think you deserve and a medal for bravery having Clinton jabbering in your ear for a couple of hours. Don't forget your ear plugs!! . Oh and make sure he's not been on the beer or you will need a nose clip as well!!. LOL and good luck Alan.

• 04/05/2012 The London Marathon was everything I expected it to be the crowds were fantastic and even the weather smarten itself up for the day. With the big day now behind me I would just like to take the time to thank you on behalf of Bluebell Wood, my training partner Sue and of course myself for your wonderful support and donations. Our fund raising page raised £530 and with other cash donations we should just about reach £600. Once again thank you. Jayne Horry

• 16/04/2012 The AGM is postponed. New date has yet to be set. This has been done due to the number of things that need sorting before Les goes on his big trek.

• 08/04/2012 John Birkhill if doing a Fathers Day walk for charity and is looking for 200 Sheffield volunteers to go with him on the 5 mile walk. It will be on Fathers Day 17th June. Any Kestrels wanting to support or go on this event can get details from here
