Comments : Thanks for a great, well organised run. The cakes were fantastic at the finish as well. Will definately be there again next year. Please pass on my thanks to Rachael Wilson for dragging me up those hills and she was right it was worth it for the views. Thanks again for a great run and day out. Gary

Comments : Really enjoyed the race. Can't believe 140 runners turnout for a great run through the countryside and 5000 want to run round Sheffield city centre in the 1/2m!! Took my map but it was not needed as marshalls and red/white tape were plentiful. Will be recommending the race for the Clowne grand prix next year. Cheers Dave

Comments : The second time that I have run this race and I really enjoyed it again despite the heat today which made it hard going especially towards the end. That last stretch home along the Lake goes on forever especially in the glaring sun! The marshalls, as usual, were really supportive all the way round. One gripe...I was 3rd Lady to finish overall but didn't win a prize because the prizes were allocated to the first 3 senior ladies and then one to the first female vet and . This meant that finishers some way behind me received a prize simply because they were under the age of 35. A very unfair way of allocating prizes. It hasn't detracted from my achievement but I do feel discriminated against simply because I am 47 years old and not 27 years old!!

Comments : A great course, a well organised event and a lovely sunny day. This is the first year I've run the 3 lakes classic and can honestly say the course was well marshalled, signed & taped, and no-one can possibly have got lost. There were numerous drinks stations and the usual Kestrel support all the way round. Finally there was the now legendary tea, coffe and cakes at the finish. Thanks everyone, Eddie Hardy, Killamarsh Kestrels.

Comments : Really well organised - I ran 2 years ago and there seemed to be more marshalls today. A hard race but good fun. Thanks, really enjoyed it (as much as you can enjoy big hills).

Comments : One of my favourite runs I've done this year! Absolutely loved it - the marshals were all so lovely and really supportive. Difficult and long course but the jelly babies at the water stops kept me going! I did have a fall and was badly in need of an ice pack when I got to the first aid at the finish but the first aider did say it was too hot for ice and didn't have any!!! Maybe some better first aid needed for next year. Many thanks for all the hard organisation.

Hi Killamarsh Kestrals
Have just got back from the 3 lakes Classic. And would like to thank you all very much for the event. I would especially like to thank the marshalls who escorted me on cycles to make sure I got to the finish ok after having a bad running day, The heat affected me badly and was feeling unwell but I really wanted to finish. I am still feeling a bit sorry for myself for being last to finish but i suppose some one has to be it. I was looked after very well and managed to enjoy a cake or two when i had cooled down.I can only improve and hope to be back next year if a cooler day. I know my club mates all enjoyed the race and we will make sure we bring a contingent again .
Thanks again

Comments : A lovely race, although pretty tough! Fantastic, encouraging and friendly marshalls, a well marked route, enough water stations and jelly babies, good facilities and the most delicious cakes at the finish! The goody bag was great too, nice change to get a mug instead of a T-shirt. The only negatives, which, I do think were just bad luck on the day, was the traffic from other park users in the last mile and it was too hot! Many thanks for a enjoyable race.

Comments : What an interesting and challenging course(especially around Ulley!). The marshalls did a fantastic job with lots of encouragement, and the general organisation was excellent. Thank you Kestrels for a really enjoyable day out. Krish (Belper Harriers)

Comments : Thanks very much for looking after Catherine, the last runner. She had a hard day mainly due to the heat. I like the run very much, is there any way you could get less road on it? The woods and trails were great. Marking the route could be improved, I know it's hard on trails as I put on races. Coffee & cakes after were brilliant! I will make sure more of our people get there next year.

Comments : Excellent and really enjoyed it. Don't normally race long (i.e half marathon and up) in the summer and although warm it was not too hot and there was shade in parts. Well marshalled, the drinks stations were excellent and the course was clearly marked - no need to look at the map throughout. Woods easier than anticipated and road shoes definitely best choice. A change to run on unfamilar paths in a nearby area. Good atmosphere throughout and particularly at end. Very minor observations would be possibly an earlier start 10am? to reduce heat. Overall very enjoyable, would do again and recommend to others for something different in the summer. Thanks and well done.

Comments : Loads of tape through the woods was a definately well worth it I know previous years people have gotton lost because it wasn't marked as well. Plenty of drinks stations (definately needed on the day and a godsend) and Annie - your flapjack was gorgeous!!!

Comments : What a lovely race - one of the nicest I've ever done. My pal from out of town ran with me, and he'll be back next year (as will I of course). Good sensibly placed water stations and excellent encouraging marshalls.
In short: The cakes were great!
In full: A hard 15 miler, with a few hilly bits. Well marshalled (very friendly too) and well marked course. Goody bag and mug full of tea at the end, in addition to a whole tent full of the best cakes ever!

In short: One of my favourite races - most friendly event around
In full: This is the most friendly event i've ever done. The course is challenging and hard work in the heat, but if you just relaxed it was a great run. Ny second time and with defo do it again next year. Great value and again, brilliant organisation and ever so friendly. Thanks to Les and all the Marshalls!

In short: Tough run but good fun!
In full: I did this 2 years ago and it seemed there were more marshalls this year - a pretty tough course but brilliant value and an unusual distance. I had 5 cakes after - don't tell Les.

In short: Event made by Scenery, Marshalls and goodie bag
In full: My first attempt of any type of off road. Tougher course than I thought, even when back on the road. Great Marshalls, had good banter with a couple of them. Fab goodie bag. Only negative was the last mile and the problems with the traffic, had problems, but didn't ruin my overall opinion. just need to do more hill off road training before next year

In short: Hot and hard work
In full: A huge thanks to the marshalls and killamarsh kestrals for getting me to the finish. At 13 miles my wheels fell off but I really wanted to finish, With no pressure I was escorted all the way to the finish and really encouraged to keep going. I finished last but was still made to feel I had acheived something special even getting a spot prize. Might give it another go next year if cooler. Cakes at end were great.

In short: Very Good. Gruelling Hills at 9 miles. Best reward for finishing!
In full: Warmer than predicted weather and two or three tough hills (particularly around Ulley) made this a good challenge.
But, cakes, tea and other goodies made it rewarding to get to the finish. Good organisation. Thanks
